Born Read-y is a personal branding project. I enjoyed blogging as a child but never found a brand or blog theme I liked enough. For this project, I returned to little me and her longing to have the perfect online space. First, I was challenged to unify my past and present hobbies and interests in a logo illustration. Next, I experimented with HTML and CSS for the first time, creating an interactive digital space. Finally, I revived Born Read-y into a physical exhibition, using writing and web design to inspire curiosity and reflection.

Exhibit Design

Born Read-y was part of a spring 2023 group design show installed at Azusa Pacific University. The exhibit experience tells a story of my journey to graphic design with creative writing and photographs. On opening day, visitors scanned a QR code to view a homepage, leading to individual “blog posts.” A red book allowed visitors to annotate the Born Read-y story in their own way.

Web Design

Born Read-y started as an imaginary blog concept and turned into two functioning websites. I fulfilled my childhood dream of learning HTML and CSS by building an interactive website (video), which later inspired the final pages for my exhibit built in a website builder (photos below).
